The Platteville Community Fund, part of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, recently awarded almost $23-thousand dollars to 11 local nonprofit organizations. Among the groups receiving funds -Platteville’s Museum Department, the Grant County Historical Society, Platteville Community Arboretum, Rountree Gallery, Platteville Library Foundation, Wisconsin Badger Camp, and Southwest Opportunities Center. With the support of donors, the Platteville Community Fund is an endowment for improvement projects. Part of the fund’s earnings go back to the community – supporting the arts, education, health and human services, the environment, and historic preservation. Since 2005, the Platteville Community Fund has awarded almost $900,000.
